Release notes
Project updates
NeckGames is actively developed. This page records meaningful changes to the games, controls, privacy protections, and site experience. Dates reflect when the work was published in the project.
Content-first game pages and a daily challenge
- Moved every game’s controls, strategy, and FAQ directly below the playable stage.
- Reduced each game page to one advertisement, placed after the complete player guide.
- Replaced unlabeled recommendation rails with six clearly named game links.
- Added a rotating daily challenge with device-local progress and streaks.
- Removed advertising from the homepage, About, Privacy, Terms, Contact, and Updates pages.
Individual player guides for all 23 games
Added game-specific explanations, control instructions, tested strategies, and FAQs. Each guide describes how its game was adapted for slower, continuous head input rather than copying keyboard controls unchanged.
Three new head-controlled games
Published Neck CountMasters, Neck Suika, and Neck Crossy. Added a unified fullscreen control and ensured recommendation links cover every released title without pointing to missing pages.
Camera privacy and keyboard fallback testing
Added blurred camera previews and automated checks that prevent raw room backgrounds from being drawn into the debug canvas. Added browser tests that deny camera access and verify every game can still start and respond to keyboard input.
NeckGames began
The project started with the first webcam head-tracking game and a simple library page. The source and development history are available in the public GitHub repository.
